Major Peter Ceballos: Peter was born August 1, 1926 and will celebrate his 100th birthday this August 1, 2026. Born in EAIA Hawaii, Peter attended Haliimaili High School his freshman year, and Lahaina High School Sophomore through Senior years.
Peter was drafted 1945 and reported to Scofield barracks and subsequently to Camp Maui where troops were staging for an expected invasion of Japan. As the war ended, Peter joined the Hawaii National guard and from 1946-1949 he served as a communications officer in Germany. He was discharged November 1949. From 1951-1953 he attended St. Benedicts College in Kansas where he joined the aviation cadets and subsequently served 22 years in the USAF. He was discharged as a Major in 1969. During his time in Viet Nam Peter was involved in B-52 missions/operations named “Rosebud” and “Linebacker-306”.
Peter is a veteran serving from WWII thru Viet Nam in the US Army, USAF and USAF reserve.
After his service to our country Peter spent 26 years at Disney where he supervised and opened Polynesia at Disney World.

He was discharged as a Major in 1969. During his time in Viet Nam Peter was involved in B-52 missions/operations named “Rosebud” and “Linebacker-306”. His many awards and decorations, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, are detailed in service code form on his discharge papers and shared pictorially in the slide show below.
